How did you become a Daystar Singer?
I have known Marcus and Joni for over 30 years! My brother, David, and I actually worked on Joni’s second album, Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual Songs, and our families share a rich musical history. A few years ago, I sent her a song that I’d been working on and she graciously responded by inviting me to become an official part of the team! It’s been such an exciting journey, and my passion to write and sing music inspired by God’s love is stronger than ever. I’m so grateful for this opportunity as a Daystar Singer to reach into the most hurting place in someone’s heart and bring healing through the life-changing power of worship!
What is your funniest moment as a Daystar Singer?
It’s hard to choose just one because I have so many! My silly sense of humor always manages to make its way into our time together. No matter what we’re doing, we always have fun. Whether it’s on stage worshipping, working on the set of a music video production, or just hanging out, this group is like a family. We laugh a lot and love big!

Lisa Binion’s passion for music and ministry began at an early age when she would travel across America with her parents. At each stop, they would preach the Gospel while Lisa and her five siblings would sing and lead worship. By age 18, she and her brother, David, embarked on a new journey and began writing, singing, and producing their own projects.

As an artist for Word Records, God continued opening new doors for Lisa. In the years that followed, she traveled and worked with various artists, worship teams, and bands before taking on more permanent roles in ministry as a pastor and later a drummer at Covenant Church in Carrollton, Texas.

Today, as member of the Daystar Singers, Lisa’s heart for worship is stronger than ever. She remains endlessly inspired at the goodness, grace, and mercy of her loving Father.
